New Bataan: From wall of mountains to valley of death

Bodies of flash flood victims lie on the ground as villagers look for their missing relatives after Typhoon Pablo hit New Bataan in Compostela province. Pablo ravaged parts of Mindanao killing over 200 people, but many more are reported missing.

Rescue crews in the Philippines grappled with washed-out roads, downed power lines and poor communications in search of hundreds of people missing after a typhoon that killed more than 300.

Typhoon Pablo is proving to be the deadliest storm so far this year. The death toll has reached 322 with over 250 still missing. Most of the fatalities are in the provinces of Compostela Valley and Davao Oriental.

One of the hardest hit areas is New Bataan, Compostela Valley, where scores of residents were killed by flash floods. Among the fatalities were soldiers responding to the storm.

More than hundred people are dead in Davao Oriental, where typhoon Pablo made its first landfall. Many areas there remain isolated after a major bridge gave way.

one FAMILY:-)

A family is a blessing that an individual should be grateful to have. What does family mean to you? Some may say friendship, love, and joy; while others say pain, agony, and anger. My family is my support system, my mother, aunts, and cousins all provide me with some type of support or guidance.

To me FAMILY means love, friendship and support!

Love is something that everyone knows about whether is receiving love or giving love. It is a feeling that no human being can live without, my family feels love is a big issue. In my life time there were situations that arouse that I would not have made it through without my family. When I was in great sorrow, my aunt took off work so that she could be with me during my time of grief.

Our family system is very unique because everyone takes care of everyone in some way. Our system works well because sometimes my parents can’t be there or help out so we look to our other family members for advice or help. It just brings our family closer and closer.
My family members are very caring and watchful. If there is an opposing force it will be noticed and seen. We as a family then communicate it to each other or to that one person directly. We then leave it up to that family member to deal with it on their own unless asked or if it is a real serious situation. Opposing forces have no place in our family because we keep it so tight.

I love everything that I have especially my family. They mean so much to me. They are my strength, my life and my everything. If I had to choose, I will always choose them as my family.

#soO GRATEFUL that i haVE them in my LIFE

After attending the Regional Leadership Training for Supreme Government Organization at Ilocos Norte National High School, Laoag City, I then realized how importance a TEAMWORK is, how a TEAM working as one cohesive unit is going to be the key in one's success, and how good are we and our team at TEAMWORK and TEAM BUILDING.

"It's one thing to create a TEAM, but quite another to create a TEAMWORK."
Just as it's one thing to join a team but quite another to perform as a team member. To put it simply, TEAMS don't work without TEAMWORK.

The concept of teamwork is extremely important to the success of any team. Teamwork and unselfishness create the backbone of a great team, without them a team cannot realistically compete. You can have a group of superstars, but if they do not work well as one unit, chances are they are not going to be as successful as you would think. The team working as one cohesive unit is going to be the key in their SUCCESS!

A productive team has players that share common goals, a common vision and have some level of interdependence that requires both verbal and physical interaction. Teams come into existence through shared attitudes about a particular sport. They may come together for a number of different reasons, but their goals are the same - to achieve peak performance and experience success. The ends may differ but the means by which one gets there is the same - teamwork. Every member of the team is accountable when it comes to teamwork. To succeed at the task in hand everyone involved needs to combine their efforts. If everyone does their job well, then it increases what the team can accomplish. This teamwork has to be recognized by everyone and know that great things can happen if individuals master the fundamentals and work together as one unit. Everyone has their own unique role, but each person's individual role must be recognized and appreciated.

Teamwork is something that must be a high priority and given constant attention. Every player needs to understand how important it is for them to work smoothly together if they want to be successful. Each player must be dedicated to the whole team and be willing to act unselfishly. When challenges arise (as they always do), the team needs to have the resources, accountability and commitment to deal with them in a constructive and positive manner. A sense of teamwork will play an integral part in this.

Looking for a PARADISE? Come and Explore the beauty of PAGUDPUD-- A pristine paradise that you'll really love to see:)

The Pagudpud welcome arch is quite unique in the sense that it's the first welcome arch i've seen located just after a bridge and right before approaching a mountain road.
An alternative welcome marker, which is the pearl. It is where you will turn left to go to Saud Beach and the town proper.
Saud beach is very popular not only in the country but also to the other parts of the world. It is a favorite place for movie producers, foreign and local correspondents, foreign travel writers to shoot their films because of its breathtaking views and unique atmosphere. The beach is along stretch sand framing the heart shaped calm emerald water of the Saud Bay. Every year, hundreds and even thousands of tourists come to visit the place to see for themselves the wonders of nature that awaits them.
COME AND ENJOY!!!

Although the doodle is treated as if it were a natural, spontaneous and universal phenomenon, it is in fact an invention, a concept that emerged at a certain point and rapidly became extremely popular. There are a number of possible reasons for this: the spread of literacy and the bureaucracy associated with it, the emergence of graphology (at its peak in the early 20th century), the diffusion of psychoanalytic ideas about free-association and unconscious thought, and an interest—half admiring, half malicious—in the careless drawing of celebrities (politicians, actors, writers). Of course marginal drawings in manuscripts and books have a longer history, though we can only guess at what prompted them; but the doodle has a specifically modern psychological slant to it.

I'm sorry for the drawing. It was mY firsT ever doodle, that's why.
